City of Sikeston Blood Drive

The City of Sikeston will host a Blood Drive on Wednesday, April 22 from 2 PM - 6 PM at the Clinton Building Community Center located at 501 Campanella Drive.

Council Actions - April 15, 2015

During their meeting of April 15, the following actions were taken:

  • Acceptance of Verification Board:  Council voted to accept the Scott and New Madrid County election results.
  • Oath of Office Ceremony:  Steven Burch was sworn into office as Mayor;  Gerald Settles was sworn into the office as the Ward 2 Council Representative; and Karen Evans was sworn into office as the Ward 3 Council Representative.

Orgill Expansion

Missouri’s transportation, logistics and warehousing industry saw a boost today as Gov. Jay Nixon along with local leaders and company executives announced Orgill’s plans to expand its current facility in Sikeston by more than 250,000 sq.ft. The hardware distributor and home improvement retail services company also expects to add more than 70 new jobs to its Sikeston workforce.
