1. The Curbside Pickup Programs are operated in April and October. Those with curbside pick-up will place their bulky items at the curb on their designated collection days while those with alley pick-up will place their bulky items in the alley along with their household trash. All items must be close together in one area next to the curb or in the alley. Do not place items you do not want disposed of close to rubbish or items to be hauled off as they may be taken by mistake. Sonny’s Solid Waste, Inc.(SSW) will not be responsible or replace any items taken if they are next to the alley or curb on pick-up days.
2. Another opportunity is the Annual Sikeston Community Clean-Up Campaign. This program gives individuals the chance to dispose of bulky items at the Compost Site, located on Compress Road. The Community Clean-Up Campaign is conducted in late April through early May.
Schedules for these programs will be posted below and in the local newspaper.
CURBSIDE PICKUP PROGRAM
Regular Trash Day
State regulations prohibit the deposit of certain items in Missouri landfills. A listing follows. Please contact Sonny's Solid Waste at 41-2869 to arrange for the pickup and disposal of these items.
Any resident requesting pickup of large chargeable items must call Sonny's before their scheduled pickup day for arrangements to be made. Payment must be made at the office prior to pickup. No exceptions.

The following items will be picked up and charged $10.00 each. Any appliance compressor must be drained and removed prior to pickup. Pricing for commercial appliances are not included on this list.
NOTE: All chargeable items listed below are $20 each during normal trash pickup. $10 only applies during the Curbside Pickup Program.

All used oil will need to be completely sealed in a plastic or metal container to avoid spillage. No less than 5 gallons per container or per pickup of used oil.
NO HAZARDOUS WASTE. Residents' addresses will be kept on file to avoid hazardous waste being put with the used oil.

Yard Waste including limbs, leaves, shrub trimmings, grass, Christmas trees and garden waste
ANNUAL COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP PROGRAM

Where: Compost Site on Compress Road
The Annual Community Clean-Up Program is held for 9 days starting in late April and ending in early May. Items are dropped off at the Compost Site which is located on Compress Road.
Open to Sikeston residents, citizens can bring any large bulky items, rubbish, yard waste, grass clippings, washers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, hot water heaters, commodes, tires no larger than 18" without rims, and household furniture to the site for disposal. Also, electric motors, rubber hoses and compressors must be detached from appliances. The site will be manned and proof of residency will be required.
The following items will not be accepted: any hazardous materials or chemicals, asbestos materials, shingles, paint, LP tanks, fuel containers, construction waste, demolition waste and batteries. No commercial dumping will be allowed.
