The mission for every member of the Sikeston Department of Public Safety is to consistently seek and find methods to affirmatively promote, preserve and deliver a feeling of security, safety and quality services to our community.  Central to our mission are the principles listed below that guide our daily work and decisions, which help us to contribute to the quality of life in Sikeston.  We hold these principles before us to teach and remind us, and the community  that we serve, of our ideals.  They are the foundation upon which our policies, procedures and goals of operation are built.  We, the members of Sikeston Public Safety, with the cooperation of our community, strive to improve the quality of life for all by upholding the laws, protecting lives and property, and providing for a safe and secure environment.
