LCRA Properties for Sale

On April 3, 2001, Sikeston’s voters authorized the creation of the Land Clearance Redevelopment Authority (LCRA).  This Commission is charged with identifying “blighted” areas within Sikeston, developing, and implementing a plan to provide well-organized residential neighborhoods of decent homes.   

The LCRA occasionally purchases title to tax delinquent properties not sold at the Sheriff's sale. It may also receive title to properties through donations. The LCRA consists of a five-member board and support staff that oversees many aspects of public and private real estate development in the City of Sikeston. One of the primary functions of LCRA is to review development proposals for the sale of LCRA owned property.

Listed below are several lots that LCRA have authorized for sale. Some properties have a minimum starting bids of $500 per lot.  Others have a minimum starting bid of $1,000.  If you are interested in purchasing any of the lots listed below, you may place a bid by filling out a bid form and returning it to the Community Development Department at City Hall, 105 E. Center St, Sikeston, MO or you can email them to bblevins@sikeston.org. These forms can also be obtained at City Hall.  If you have any additional questions or concerns, please call Community Development Director Barry Blevins, at 573-475-3744.
    
NOTE:  Buildable lots must meet a minimum width prescribed in the respective zone.
