Leaf Collection Program

Along with the beauty of fall foliage comes the task of dealing with a seemingly never-ending supply of fallen leaves.  While some residents opt to mulch or compost their leaves, the majority of Sikeston’s residents will take advantage of the City’s Leaf Collection Program which begins in November.

The leaves are to be placed on the back of the curb - not in the gutter line or on the street, and no further than 4 feet in the yard.  Please place only leaves on the edge of the street, so that they may be picked up in as timely a manner as possible.  Keep in mind that crews cannot operate onto private drives.

No limbs or trash should be mixed with the leaves.

The city has been split into four sections; Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, & Southeast Sections.   The 2009 leaf collection date ranges for each section are as follows:

 Northwest Section:
to be announced

 Southwest Section:
to be announced

 Northeast Section:
to be announced

Southeast Section:
to be announced

Due to severe weather or mechanical difficulties,
all leaf collection date ranges are subject to change.
