Sikeston Corporate Games

The Corporate Games afford local companies a good opportunity for internal team building and company pride (not to mention a little exercise) through friendly competition with other area companies.  Winners earn trophies and medals, which by the way look great in the company break room or trophy case.

It’s also a chance for the employees of different companies to get to know others in the area’s corporate community.  Besides that, the Corporate Games are fun!

The Corporate Games, which will be held June 10-30, afford local companies a good opportunity for internal team building and company pride (not to mention a little exercise) through friendly competition with other area companies.  Winners earn trophies and medals which, by the way, look great in the company break room or trophy case.

It's also a chance for the employees of different companies to get to know others in the area's corporate community.  Besides that, the Corporate Games are fun! 

There are 15 different events offered - basketball, coed bowling, coed football challenge (punt, pass, and kick), coed 8-ball, coed sand volleyball, coed tennis, coed softball, golf, coed aqualympics (rubber raft races, innertube races, etc.), horseshos, fishing, coed pyramid relay, coed canoe races, coed tug-of-war, and coed team triathlon (3-legged race, sack race, water balloon toss).  There's something for both jocks and couch potatoes. 

The three weeks of competition begins on a fun note with a Trivia Contest on June 7th at the Clinton Building.  The 2010 Trivia kickoff was a big hit with the Corporate Games XIII Teams. 

For a $600 entry fee, all 15 events plus the Trivia Constes are covered.   Smaller companies have the option of paying entry fees for specific events and entering the games on a limited basis.  Team points are earned in each of the events by the top six finishers.  At the end of the games, the companies with the top three point totals receive team awards.  The companies also choose recipients of Sportsmanship and Team Spirit awards.
