Sikeston Power Plant

The City owns and operates Sikeston's 235 MW electric generation power plant, providing low-cost, dependable power to our industrial customers.  We also own and operate our municipal water works and waste water treatment services, which removes many of the headaches for our business community, and allows us to be locally proactive in meeting their utility requirements.


Electricity
The Sikeston Power Plant is a 235 megawatt coal-fired generating plant.  A standby generation agreement is already in place to meet the needs of any individual consusumer of electricty in our system.

Sikeston has 1of the lowest utility rates in the state of Missouri.

Water
Eight deep wells to supply Sikeston with potable water. 

Waste Water Treatment
The system utilizes twelve lift stations with a design capacity of 4.4 milion gallons per day.

both who offer Fiber Optic Loop / DSL. 

Natural Gas
Natural gas service is provided to the City by
