All applications are through the Missouri Career Center.  Job openings are also posted on the City’s website.
Employment Opportunities   

Department of Public Safety applications for public safety officer are accepted through the Missouri Career Center and kept on file for six months.  When a vacancy exists, you will be contacted to verify that you are still interested.  Then, depending upon experience and certifications, you will either be considered for a lateral or entry-level position.

  • The City of Sikeston is a drug/alcohol free workplace.  All new hires must pass a drug/alcohol screening.
  • All full-time employees must live within 5 miles of city limits after one year of employment.
