Along with the beauty of fall foliage
comes the task of dealing with a seemingly never-ending supply of fallen
leaves. While some residents opt to mulch or compost their leaves,
the majority of Sikeston’s residents will take advantage of the City’s
Leaf Collection Program which begins November 16, 2009.
The leaves are to be placed on the back of the curb - not in the gutter line
or on the street, and no further
than 4 feet in the yard. Please place only leaves on the edge of
the street, so that they may be picked up in as timely a manner as
possible. Keep in mind that crews cannot operate onto private drives.

No limbs or
trash should be mixed with the leaves. |
The city has been
split into four sections; Northwest, Southwest, Northeast, & Southeast
Sections. The 2009 leaf collection date ranges for each section are as follows:
Northwest Section:
